Anchor & Oak ("we", "us", "our") sells handcrafted leather and canvas travel goods through this website. We are the data controller for the personal data collected here. You can reach us at any time by email at hello@anchor-and-oak.com or through our contact page.

• Order data: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and order contents, so we can process, pack and deliver your order.
• Payment data: payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details; we receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded or was refunded.
• Contact and newsletter data: your email address and message when you write to us or subscribe to our emails.
• Usage data: anonymised information about how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) to keep the store working and improving.

We use your data to fulfil your order, provide customer support, send order and delivery updates, and, only where you have asked us to, send you our newsletter. We also use aggregated usage data to improve the site. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated third-party advertising.

• Contract: to process and deliver the order you placed.
• Legitimate interests: to keep the site secure, prevent fraud and improve our store.
• Consent: for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Legal obligation: where tax or consumer law requires us to keep records.

Only the providers that help us run the store: our e-commerce and hosting platform, our payment processor, and our delivery partners. Each receives only the data it needs to provide its service, and none is permitted to use it for its own marketing.

Order records are kept for the period required by UK tax law (currently six years). Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept for up to two years so we can follow up on your enquiry.

You have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email us at hello@anchor-and-oak.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

The site is served over HTTPS, payments run through a certified payment provider, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced to newsletter subscribers by email.
